Austin was born Jan. 11, 1994, in Cobb County, the son of Jeffrey Harriss and Valerie Ann (Newton) Harriss, was a student at Adairsville High School, was employed at Kroger and was a member of Pine Log United Methodist Church.
He was the Adairsville High School Student of the Month in March, loved soccer and skateboarding, and had a great sense of humor.
Austin's favorite saying was, "Saving Lives-What I Do BEST!" Because Austin was an organ donor, approximately 60 people received help.
Surviving are his mother, Valerie Harriss of Rydal; his father, Jeff Harriss of Rydal; a brother, Jordan Harriss; and a sister, Sarah Harriss; grandmothers, Barbara Newton of Cartersville, Jane Harriss of Woodstock; and aunts uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at Pine Log United Methodist Church, 3497 Pine Log Road N.E., Rydal.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Adairsville High School Soccer Team or The Adairsville High School Booster Club, % Adairsville High School, 519 Old Highway 41, Adairsville, GA 30103.
