Bartow JL softball team reaches 2nd straight title game

The Bartow County Junior League softball team is set to defend its title after winning two games Saturday in Monroe, site of the Georgia Junior League state tournament. Bartow, seeking a return to the Southeast Regional in Fort Myers, Fla., plays in the championship game today at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, tournament play also began for 9-10-year-old and 11-12-year-old softball teams in the Georgia Little League state tournaments being held in Rabun County. There are two Bartow County Little League teams competing for the opportunity to make it to the Southeast Regional.
