Lady ’Cats completely healed, ready for new season

The “WW” in its school logo seemed to take on new meaning for the Woodland volleyball team a season ago — as in walking wounded — with the Lady Wildcats slowed by injuries to key players.

Not even a week into the 2011 season, Woodland lost both its outside hitter and middle hitter, mere days apart from one another. The Lady Wildcats, needless to say, never quite got things going, falling off their pace from the previous year to finish 8-25.

Coach David Condon, in his third year as head coach, can only hope that his team is due a bout of good health.
