Saturday evening pilots in the area of Taylorsville reported lasers being pointed at aircrafts.

According to the incident report, about 9:45 p.m. police were called to the area of Floyd Creek Church Road in reference to suspect pointing a laser at planes.

The Federal Aviation Administration advised that suspects were “painting” aircraft in the area with what was described as an anti-aircraft-mounted laser.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputy checked the areas of Gordon McCormick Road, Floyd Creek Church Road, Taff Road, Lucas Road and Kincannon Road but was unable to locate anyone.

According to the report, the deputy spoke with members of a wedding party on Taylor Farm Road but no one knew anything about the incident.
