Ms. LaToya Sharelle Moore, 26, and Baby Ayden of 2A Casey Lane, Cartersville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, and Thursday, Sept. 27, respectively.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 1, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cartersville First Baptist Church, 241 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville. The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Mack Eppinger & Sons Funeral Services, Inc. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Bank of the Ozark, 601 Henderson Drive, Cartersville, in the name of “Tammy Washington for the benefit of LaToya Moore’s Children.”

Latoya was born in Marietta on June 2, 1986, to Christopher Tyrone Moore and Tammy Beavers Washington. She confessed Christ and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Cassville. She later united with Covenant Christian Ministries in Marietta.

LaToya graduated from Cass High School in 2005. She was involved in cheerleading and basketball. LaToya was petite in stature but her warmth and friendliness endeared her to everyone who knew her. She had a quiet, sweet spirit whose glowing smile brightened up the day. She enjoyed being with family and friends. LaToya loved to be pampered by getting her nails and hair done. She liked watching Lifetime TV and investigative shows, but once the twins came, her world revolved around them. LaToya was a wonderful mother who loved and cared for them so deeply.

She was employed by Shaw Industries as a machine operator in the tufting/warping department at plant 12.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Amira Denyse and Amari Elyse Love; mother, Tammy (Robert) Washington; father, Christopher Moore; two sisters, Jasmine and Tykia Moore; grandparents, Hattie B. McClure (James Prater) and Maxine and Bennie Weems; great-grandmother, Helen Beavers; a precious nephew, Jaylen Buffington; aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
