Miss Linn was born Oct. 9, 1910, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lela Pearl (Hendricks) Linn. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, was a member of the Pine Log Historical Society, taught high school at Pine Log High School and Fairmount High School, was a teacher for 42 years, was a member of Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and was the third person in her family to live to be 102 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Lou Howell; and a brother, R.L. Linn Jr.
Surviving is a niece, Marylin Cain and her husband, Paul of Tucker; a nephew, Linn Howell and his wife, Cecile of Canton; nephews, Clifford Garland Long of White; great-nieces, Roxanne Long, Rebecca Barnes and her husband, Kevin; and great-great-nieces, Cavander and Zarah Belle Barnes; several cousins and a 12-year caregiver, Charlotte Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, at 3:30 p.m. at Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rydal with the Rev. Mark Rackley and the Rev. Kevin Barnes officiating. The body will lie in state at the church Sunday from 3 to 3:30 p.m.
Burial will follow in the Lewis-Linn Cemetery in White.
The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Josh Kirk, Michael Garland, Jack Nally, Lint Stegall, Scott Naugher and Bradford Hendricks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Linn, Tim Linn, L.G. Hendricks, Howard Hendricks, Dennis Garland and Harry Bramblett.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.
