Of the nine, six played for the 13-1 Cartersville Purple Hurricanes: Arrick Camps, linebacker; Hayes Linn, wide receiver; Josh Cooper, wide receiver; Wyndham Laye, offensive lineman; Alec D’Urbano, punter; and Byron Davis, defensive lineman. The other three include two from the Adairsville Tigers — Hiram Velez, wide receiver, and Andrew Ward, quarterback — and Woodland Wildcats’ R.J. Williams, quarterback.
They are among 50 seniors who have been selected by area coaches to represent north Georgia in the first annual North vs. Central All-Star Bowl game to be played Saturday afternoon at the Georgia Dome.
