Child molestation, drug cases top criminal trial week

A child molestation case and drug cases top the trials expected to be heard in Bartow County Superior Court beginning Monday.

Court will convene in the courtrooms of judges Scott Smith and Shepherd Howell at 9 a.m. Monday.

The cases the court expects to first sound, in no particular order, in Howell’s courtroom include:

• Larry Douglas Parrott — two counts of child molestation

• Devonte Lavon Glover — three counts of violation of street gang terrorism and prevention act, sale of methamphetamine, possession of meth and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce

• Bryant Lavon Chambliss — sale of schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce; Vanessa Chambliss — possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce and felony theft by receiving stolen property; Ashley Nicole Harris — possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce; and Ronnie Clinton Strong — possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, felony theft by receiving stolen property and possession of firearm by a convicted felon

• Bryant Lavon Chambliss — violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act — sale of marijuana and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce

• Sean Allen Camp — driving while license suspended

• Gary Wayne Camp — driving while license suspended

• Robert Darryl Lanham — possession of meth and possession of meth by ingestion.

The cases the court expects to first sound, in no particular order, in Smith’s courtroom include:

• Margaret Kay Jones — theft by taking

• Debra Faye Murphy — violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act — possession of meth; and Mark Wayne Murphy — possession of meth VGCSA

• Maurice Ladale Strozier — possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce; and Janet Latoya Weeks — driving without license on person, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce

• Shawna Kay May — possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute VGCSA and two counts of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance

• Tyler Scott Peterson — trafficking meth VGCSA, sale of meth, forgery and marijuana violation

• Kyle Erwin Skinner — violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act

• Justin Rayshod Jones — theft by taking

• Harris Edgar Adcock Jr. — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana more than 1 ounce and two counts of criminal trespass.
