A deputy and callers reported teenagers had entered an Indian Springs Drive home before 11:30 p.m. Saturday with what appeared to be alcohol, according to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office report.
The responding deputy observed about 20 vehicle parked in the yard and in the roadway upon arrival. Multiple subjects fled into the residence when the deputy arrived, according to the report.
Several deputies attempted to make contact with those inside but the occupants refused to speak with authorities. Dispatch then contacted the owner who said he and his wife had not given anyone permission to be in the home and authorized deputies to make forced entry.
The deputy reported alcoholic beverage lying around and a large quantity of suspected marijuana inside the refrigerator.
Thirty-five people were arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Two juveniles were taken into custody and later released to their parents. The homeowners could not identify any of the suspects.
On Sunday night, one of the 37 suspects reported he had more than $1,000 in belongings stolen from the Rydal residence.
The deputy reported he had met with the homeowner earlier in the day who had said she did not want the property in her home and would not be responsible for it. The suspect’s brother had hidden the items in the bushes. There were no suspects listed in the report.
