Woodland girls set school record with most wins

The Woodland Lady Wildcats’ girls soccer team set a record with most wins in a season with their 7-0 victory over Hiram Monday.

The Lady Wildcats’ win over the Lady Hornets was their 11th on the season. One more than was won by the 2006 and 2007 girls’ soccer teams.

“What a great way to end the season,” coach Kyle Morgan said. “Everybody played great. Hopefully, we’ll set another school record when it comes to wins and make the region playoffs as well.”

Leading the Lady Wildcats (11-5) to the their 11th victory was Destiny Wood, who had two goals. Lindsey Good and Amber Fuller each had a goal and an assist.

Also scoring goals for Woodland were Kaitlyn Eubanks, Abby Wheeless and Keri Cage.

Keeping the Lady Hornets off the scoreboard was Alicia Velasquez

“Everybody is already looking forward to next season,” Morgan said.
