While emergency crews were on scene, a motorist apparently attempting to avoid the initial accident left the roadway, traveling down an embankment. The driver was not ejected or entrapped, but the man was taken by air ambulance to the hospital.

Boat taken from slip
A man told deputies Friday afternoon that his boat was taken from its Acworth dock.
According to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the 1964 John boat was removed from the dock sometime between Thursday evening and Friday about 5 p.m.
The owner told deputies the boat was tied in a manner that someone would have to cut the rope or take the rope in order to steal the craft. He said the ties would have prevented the boat from floating away.

A former Foxfire Lane resident was short crucial flight gear when he made the move to Utah this week.
According to the deputy’s report, the man had packed his flight bag and placed it on the kitchen table as movers packed his belongings for the move. After moving the bag to the counter, he went to assist in disassembling a table and returned to find the items packed and staged in the garage.
Thinking the movers packed the bag, he discovered it missing when he arrived in Utah. A cleaning crew reported a small bag found beneath the kitchen sink containing several aviation maps.
On Friday the man returned to claim the bag and found $3,600 in flight gear missing. He told deputies he believed the items to have been pawned.
