Morning leads Cass runners

Jaison Morning earned a third-place medal to pace Cass High in the Cass-Cartersville Invitational on Oct. 1.

Morning, who finished with a time of 16:56 in the boys varsity race, was one of three runners from the school to earn a medal.

The other Cass medal winners include Savannah Hardin, a junior, who finished 15th with a time of 21:33, and Jordan Morning, a senior who finished in 18th.

Places turned in by other Colonels were Logan Sorenson, 24th place; Seth Wood, 54th, Austin Joel, 98th; Tyler Smith, 103, and Marus Riley 114.

The places for other Cass girls were Hardin, 15; Stephane Rabeldo, 49; Esmerlda Thomas, 54; Payton Rogers, 67; Lizzy Phal, 96; Hailey Ritter, 97.

The Cass-Cartersville Invitational, the longest running mid-week invitational in Georgia, drew 27 teams.
