According to a press release, “[Patrons] can expect a full night of entertainment from start to finish starting with hysterically funny comedian Deborah Delk for the opening act to the main event for Elvis fans everywhere. ...The show is truly unique but also a very realistic portrayal of the Las Vagas style Elvis. Fans say Elvis Preston truly has a voice like Elvis Presley.
“The classic Elvis hit songs we all know and love will be performed as well as a few different surprise songs.”
Following the performance, there will be a meet and greet for fans at the show.
For those interested in having a few laughs, Delk will offer her own unique style of humor.
According to her www.gigmasters.com page, “[Delk] is a comedian, a motivational speaker and believes laughter is the medicine that cures all and has the perfect blend from her past profession in nursing to now.”
Theatre Administrator Matt Santini said The Grand is excited to host the show.
“We’re certainly always looking for quality renters for the facility that will put on shows that we think will work well with the community. We like working with people who are professional and engaged and put a high priority on putting on a good, high quality show and we certainly feel this is one of them,” Santini said.
He said the event is a great way to begin the theater’s 2014 performance season.
“Usually January is a little bit of a slower time for us from a programming standpoint, so we’re really happy to have something like this come into the theater. Some people may make a resolution to spend a little more time on entertaining or do things that are a little more interesting for the course of the year and this is one way to start that resolution,” Santini said.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for orchestra seats and $15 for balcony seats.
