The teams were playing their second matches in as many days, having fallen to Cedartown on Thursday.
“It’s going to take some time before we play as well as we’re capable,” head coach Mark Hibbard said. “We have to play our way to the end of season.”
Hibbard said his singles players need to be “more consistent and to play smarter” while his doubles teams are “improving each match” but need to continue that progress. He said improved doubles play is one of the keys to a winning season for the Eagles and Lady Eagles.
“We have to pick up some points in our doubles play or it will be putting too much pressure on our singles team,” Hibbard said.
The coach said the teams “have a lot of potential but we need to improve and perform at a higher level.”
