Domestic fight leads to multiple charges
Bartow County deputies were dispatched to Floyd Creek Church Road in Taylorsville in reference to a physical domestic dispute. Upon further investigation, the situation turned out to be false imprisonment, aggravated stalking and battery under the Family Violence Act.
The victim told deputies that she had just pulled into a friend’s yard when she saw her husband, David Timms, standing behind her. She said Timms screamed at her that she was going home with him. When she refused, she said Timms grabbed her and forced her into the truck. As he attempted to leave, the victim escaped.
Deputies learned later that the victim had secured a conditional bond order on Jan. 16 ordering Timms not to be the cause of any further disturbance that would require law enforcement’s presence.
Because Timms violated the conditional bond in a violent manner, he was charged with aggravated stalking, false imprisonment and battery.
