Adairsville police recovered a runaway juvenile Saturday after she had been molested by two people.

According to an Adairsville Police Department press release, officers recovered the juvenile at the Mapco Express store at 6434 Joe Frank Harris Parkway. Officers found the juvenile with Heather Nicole Haygood, 19, of Adairsville, Derick Clayton Bryant, 25, of Adairsville and Roy Hubert Collum Jr., 48, of Calhoun. After the officers spoke with the juvenile, they determined the three suspects brought her to Adairsville from Villa Rica.

The juvenile also said she had “been subjected to indecent sexual acts by Haygood and Bryant while at their Adairsville residence,” according to the release.

Investigators spoke with Haygood and Bryant, who said they agreed to help the juvenile leave Villa Rica in exchange for sexual favors. Haygood allegedly provided marijuana and Trazodone to the juvenile.

“After which,” the release states, “Bryant and Haygood then performed immoral acts to and in the presence of the child.”

The juvenile was later treated and released to her parents. Bryant was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery on a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce and possession of drug-related objects.

Haygood was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation, sexual battery on a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, distribution of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a drug-related object.

Collum was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The three suspects were transported to the Bartow County Jail.
