Tigers 14, Phillies 4

Nathan Colston hit a walkoff grand slam Thursday in the bottom of the fourth inning to finish the Tigers' 14-4 win over the Phillies in Cartersville Little League action.

It was Colston's only hit for the Tigers, who also got hits from Anthony Seigler (two), Trenton Frazier, Bret Phinney, Harrison Osborn and Parker Tidwell.

Phinney (four) and Frazier (two) combined for six strikeouts in two innings of work each.

Dax Edwards, who struck out three in three innings, and Drew Adsit pitched for the Phils.

The Phillies got a hit apiece from Adsit, Tristan Dorsey, Collin Sapp, Jake Hacker and Jake Norris.

The Tigers advance to today's 6 p.m. elimination game with the Dodgers, for a chance to meet the Braves in the championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m. A third game would be played at 6 p.m. on Thursday if the Braves -- who currently have no losses in the postseason -- lose on Wednesday.

Braves 14, Dodgers 2

Colbie Clark and Grant Tidwell each had two hits, including a home run, to lead the Braves to a 14-2 win over the Dodgers Thursday.

Corey Brown led the Braves with three hits, and Dustin Hanks (two), Bradley Sutton and Britton Rice also had hits for the team.

Hayden Siniard struck out five batters in four innings for the win.

Joseph Conway, Joseph Jolly, Thomas Jolly and Curtis Wilkes had a hit apiece for the Dodgers.

Hunter Gates (three strikeouts in three innings) and Trevor Lawrence took the hill for the Dodgers.

Tigers 15, Padres 2

In Wednesday's 15-2 win, Bret Phinney hit a walkoff grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning to end the Tigers' win over the Padres earlier than the usual six innings.

Phinney's home run was one of three hits for the Tigers' slugger. Trenton Frazier also had three hits, and Parker Tidwell (two) and Braden Meadows had hits as well.

On the mound, Phinney and Grant Harris (four strikeouts in three innings) pitched for the Tigers.

Padres' pitchers were Garrett Geros, Jacob Frye (two strikeouts in four innings) and Rodrick Winburn.

Chaz Edmonson and Zackary Taylor had two hits each for the Padres, and Max McGinnis and Winburn had hits also.

Phillies 3, Colts 2

Tied 2-2 with the Colts after five innings, the Phillies scored a run in the top of the sixth inning on hits by Logan Ledford and Jake Norris.

The Colts threatened in the bottom of the sixth inning with a hit by Caleb Bennett and an intentional walk to Boo Reed, but the Phillies held on for the 3-2 win Wednesday.

Norris had two hits to pace the Phillies, and Tristan Dorsey, Jake Hacker and Ledford added a hit apiece.

Norris pitched five innings, striking out one, and Collin Sapp struck out three in two innings.

Zachary Woods had two hits for the Colts, and Caleb Bennett, Sam Martin and Reed each had a hit.

Martin, Seth Smith (two strikeouts in three innings), Levi Ayers (three strikeouts in three innings) and Woods pitched for the Colts.
