Law enforcement officials were called to the scene on Bates Road near Puckett Road in Cartersville and say one of the four ATVs piloted during the incident struck another in the rear.
Stephen Todd Brolsma, 39, of White, was thrown from the vehicle, and sustained a head injury, officials said. He was pronounced dead at Cartersville Medical Center.
Troopers reported alcohol is believed to be involved in the incident, and investigation of the crash is underway.
GSP responded to a total of seven accidents with two injuries in the 48 hours preceding 5 p.m. Saturday.
Cartersville police reported 12 accidents Thursday and Friday traffic incidents, seven of which occurred on private property. No one was transported to the hospital in any of the crashes.
