Myrtle M. Shook, 72, of White, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, at her residence. Born Jan. 11, 1938, in Calhoun, she was the daughter of the late Frank Noland and the late Lilly Bell Noland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Christopher Shook Jr., and her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Billy and Lori Shook of Ball Ground, Rosebud and Billy Fox of White, Ricky Shook of White, and Sammy and Tracey Shook of White; a special niece, Sissy Overby; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Elizabeth Noland Jr. and Lillian Noland, and Ernest and Evelyn Noland; her sister, Sue Shook; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in the White Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be C.J. Collum, Wayne Shook, Steven Fortenberry, David Hall, Lamar Hall and Jesse Shook.

The family will receive friends until 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the residence of Rosebud Fox, 602 Tennessee Road, White, GA 30184.
