The 10U Cartersville Crush brought their pitching -- two hurlers combining for a no-hitter -- and their hitting -- scoring a dozen runs -- as they defeated the Aragon Outlaws 12-0 in the championship game of the Summer Splash Classic in Rome recently.

The no-hitter was credited to Trevor Lawrence and Jake Cooper.

The Crush, which is a Cartersville-based traveling team, put together 15 hits, including three home runs by Curtis Wilkes, Grant Harris and Joshua Mayo.

John Reed Evans, Jake Cooper and Joshua Mayo each went 3-for-3 at the plate in the title game.

Throughout the weekend tournament the Crush had four wins and one loss. Their offensive assault netted 47 runs on 56 hits, including six home runs, in .

The Crush pitching and defense stood up to the test as well, allowing 17 runs on 18 hits in five games.
