High winds, hail and heavy rain raced through Bartow County twice in recent days, most of the damage coming Thursday night but some trees also going down from high winds Saturday afternoon.

The Cartersville airport recorded only .18 inches of rain Saturday afternoon but it was the intensity for a brief period both Thursday and Saturday that produced damage. Large hail was seen in several sections of the county, with accompanying high winds and heavy downpour of rain.

Today's forecast does not call for any more thunderstorm activity but the high is expected to again be in the mid- to high 90s, with high humidity.
