A native of Bartow County, Mr. Lingerfelt was born March 28, 1961, and was the son of the late Terry H. Lingerfelt and the late Mary Kate Tatum Lingerfelt. He was of the Baptist faith. A man with a good sense of humor, he was a great husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be missed by all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Perry Lingerfelt.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lynn Cole Lingerfelt; his son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Ramon and Tonnie Lingerfelt; his daughter, Katie Lynn Lingerfelt; his granddaughter, Gracie Faith Lingerfelt; his siblings, Loretta and Larry Branton, Erier Jo Mullinax, Geraldine and Larry Turner, Brenda and Jerry Bailey, Darlene and Ronnie Robertson, Robert and Jean Lingerfelt and Jerry Lingerfelt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Mike Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in Emerson City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. and will include: Chad Branton, Chris Robertson, Damon Sexton, J.R. Lingerfelt, Jody Lingerfelt and Jamie Mullinax. Ronnie Bennett and John Evans will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, Ga.
