Mary was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Bartow County to Ruby Richey Durham and the late John Durham.
She joined Mt. Zion Grassdale Baptist Church at an early age. She was employed by World Carpets for 25 years.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Marvin Barkley; three children, Mary Harrell, Barron Barkley and John Barkley; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
