Ann was born Sept. 28, 1926, in Gilmer County, Ga., a daughter of the late Joseph and Lula Mae Gibson Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bryan "Bossie" Vincent; a son-in-law, Edward Sanford; her brothers, Oren Stafford, J.S. Stafford, Elihue Stafford and Hillard Stafford; and her sisters, Eva Southerland, Grace Wilkins and Opal Duckett Lanning.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice Carol Vincent and JoAnn Sanford, both of Fairmount, Ga.; a sister, Minnie Lee Nicholson of Ellijay, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Frances Stafford of Jasper, Ga., and Sarah Headrick of Dalton, Ga.; several beloved nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Lou "Ann" Vincent will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Fairmount Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrold Young and Rev. Spencer Evans officiating. Music will be arranged by Sally Jones.
Annie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earnest Ledford, Hubert Lillard, Larry Nicholson, J.P. Davis, Brandon Davis and Harry Pierce.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
