Leonard was born in Bartow County on July 19, 1944, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey W. and Annie Mae Maxwell, Sr. He was educated in the Bartow County School System and attended Albany State College. His last employment was with Anheuser-Busch Inc. as an accountant.
Leonard is survived by hiswife, Vivian Maxwell; siblings, Madolyn Hayes, Harvey W. Maxwell Jr., James J. Maxwell, and Sidney Maxwell; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
