Mrs. Hogan was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Cobb County, a daughter of the late Grady Henry Hogan Sr. and Ruby Jane Spears Hogan. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
Survivors include four children, James E. Hogan of Marietta, Helen Yvonne Steck of Marietta, Tammy H. Greene of Cartersville and Cynthia H. McTaggart of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Cassandra Michelle Young of Morrow, Sharron Y. Padgett, (Deceased) Martha Renee Cunningham, Dallas, Tamitha Y. Sprenger, Chula Vista, California, James "Bo" Hogan of Marietta, Amanda J. Hogan of Marietta, James "Will" Hogan of Marietta and James "Jay" Green of Cartersville; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Della Louise Clackum, Betty J. McPherson and Frances Lorene Buck; and four brothers, Robert B. Hogan, Roy Harold Hogan, Harry Glenn Hogan and Mayes D. Hogan.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Kennesaw City cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
