The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Eppinger's Funeral Home.
Jewell was born May 5, 1928 in Cartersville to the late Earnest and Julia Crawford Carter. As a child, she moved away to and was educated in the Massillon, Ohio School System before returning to Cartersville at the age of seventeen.
Jewell was employed by several people in the Bartow-Cobb area.
She united with Christ at an early age and served faithfully at the Victory Life Church of Cartersville.
She is survived by her children, Brondie Carter (Regina), Phyllis Milton, Clora Willians, Jewell Williams, Jerry Williams, Larry Williams, Theresa Stark (Wayne), Kathleen Williams, and Annie Mae Williams; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Annie Bell Sanders(Sam), Leroy Carter (Bobbie), Katherine Ingram, Lurlene Lowe, Melvin Lowe, and Calvin Lowe; neices, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
