Leycester T. Mote, 90, of Cartersville passed away Friday, Sept. 10.

He was an Army Veteran who served in World War II. He retired from Nabisco after 44 years. He loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Clara, of Cartersville; son, Larry, and his wife, Marcie, of Marietta; daughter, Theresa Barr of Cartersville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Juanita Puckett, and his brother, Darrell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Hopper, and great-grandson, Riley Reed.

Services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12, at Owen Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
