Chief David King said Chadwick L. Bryant, 32, who had been living with his mother in Fairmount, was traveling southbound, crossed the double-yellow line and overcorrected. Around 7:10 a.m., police were notified Bryant's vehicle had traveled into the woods and struck a pine tree.
King said Bryant was dead on the scene and alcohol may have been involved in the crash.
