Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 24, at noon at Eppinger's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Grassdale Cemetery.
Marvin Barkley was born in Clayton County on May 1, 1947, to the late Mary Pennymon and James Barkley.
Marvin was educated in the Clayton County school system and was last employed with C.W. Matthew Construction Company. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Barkley; parents; brother, Willie; and sister, Dorothy.
Left to cherish his memory, daughter, Mary Harrell; sons, John and Barron Barkley; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
