Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 26, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Acworth with Rev. Danny Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville.
Mrs. Robinson was born Feb. 24, 1916, in Bartow County, Euharlee, to Ona Adaline Grant and Clarence S. Head Sr. Alease was the oldest, and only daughter, of six children. She was a marvelous cook, loved to quilt and was a seamstress at E.Z. Mills in Cartersville. In 1946, she and her husband John moved their family from Bartow County to Acworth. They resided there until 2007 when they moved to Starcrest Nursing Home in Cartersville. Mrs. Robinson was very active at Hickory Grove Baptist Church serving as pianist for many years and at Calvary Baptist Church.
In 2007, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, John Jasper Robinson. She is survived by her children, Ken and Margaret Robinson Bullock of Conyers, Jerry and Barbara Abernathy Robinson of Acworth; grandchildren, Glenn and Jennifer Bullock Wisenbaker of Roswell, James and Stephanie Bullock Deal of Lawrenceville, David and Nona Robinson Owens of Woodstock; great-grandsons, Jamie and Alex Deal, Christopher Owens; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Wisenbaker; brothers, John Frank Head of Cartersville, Clarence Jr. and Emily Hornbuckle Head of Stockbridge; sister-in-law, Odell Cowart Head of Euharlee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as Pallbearers are James Deal, Glenn Wisenbaker, David Owens, Henry Nettles, Jamie Deal and Larry Robinson. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Head, Junior Head, Alex Deal, Christopher Owens, Johnny Hale and Donald Kemp. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
