Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Damascus Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Bartow Cemetery.
Louise was born in Bartow County, March 31, 1925, to the late Walt and Frances Odessa Perkinson Bailey. She united with the Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age.
Louise was a very loving and caring person who served as a friend to her peers and as a mother to those younger than she, as she lived the majority of her life in Emerson. She united in holy matrimony to the late Jesse James and the two raised eight children.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories seven children, Willie Bryant, Walter Bryant, Carolyn Louise, Jessie Thomas (Willie), Grace Gardhigh, Chet James and Philip James (Tracey); 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Houston; two brothers, Rev. Wofford Bailey and Leonard Bailey (Roslyn); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
