Holding on to a seven-point, third-quarter lead, the Cass Colonel football team proved once again that it knows how to make crucial second-half plays.

The Colonels scored 21 unanswered points to win going away, 38-10, at Creekview Friday.

In other local football action, Cartersville thumped at Murray County 44-9, while Adairsville and Woodland lost to Pepperell -- 47-26 -- and Lambert -- 21-7 -- respectively.
