Mrs. Geneva Langley, 68, of Cartersville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta following a brief illness. Born in Duluth, Ga., Feb. 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Melvin McPherson and the late Ruby Howell McPherson.

Mrs. Langley resided in the Chamblee area most of her life and was a housewife. She was loved dearly by her family and will be missed greatly. She was a member of Young Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joseph C. Langley; two daughters and son-in-law, JoAnn and J.R. Gibson of Doraville, Bobbie White of Cartersville; four sons, Joseph, Stoney, Stacey and David Langley; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. at Young Street Baptist Church.
