Bill Lovinggood, age 85, of Cartersville, passed away January 14, 2023.
He was born on December 27, 1937, and he is preceded in death by his parents Lemon and Verlie Lovinggood. He is survived by one brother, Charles.
He is survived by his wife Patricia and their daughter Susan and her husband Dick Harlow of Cary, North Carolina.
Bill was known as "Daddy Dip" by his grandchildren Lula, James, Franklin, Rose and Mae.
After 40-plus years of service, Bill retired from AT&T in Charlotte, whereupon he and Patricia relocated to Cartersville where they met in 1952 when Bill was cutting bologna in his uncle's store before marrying in 1962.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 19th of January, 2023, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Lathem Postell and Richard Harlow officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sam Jones Methodist Church.
A celebration of life and memories will take place at their home after burial.
